다시 보리라 You'll See Her Again

문병을 마치고 세워둔 차 안에서 홀로 감정을 추스렸습니다. 그러자 한 가지 생각이 떠오르며 흐르던 눈물이 멈추었습니다. ‘친구를 다시 보리라’라는 생각이었습니다. 슬픔에 젖어 믿는 자들에게 죽음은 단지 일시적이라는 것을 잊고 있었습니다(고린도전서 15:21-22). 재키와 나는 우리의 죄를 용서하기 위해 예수님이 죽으시고 부활하셨다는 것을 믿고 있기에 나는 친구를 다시 보리라는 것을 알았습니다(3-4절). 예수님이 십자가에서 죽으신 후 다시 살아나셨을 때 사망은 믿는 자들을 서로 갈라놓고 하나님과도 갈라놓는 궁극적인 힘을 잃었습니다. 우리는 이 세상에서 죽은 후 천국에서 하나님과, 그리고 영적인 형제자매들과 함께 다시 살게 될 것입니다. 영원히.

예수님은 오늘도 살아 계시기에 주님을 믿는 자들에게는 상실과 슬픔을 지날 때도 소망이 있습니다. 십자가의 승리로 죽음은 이미 삼킨 바 되었습니다 (54절).

After the visit and an emotional time in the seclusion of my parked car, a thought came to mind that slowed my tears: You’ll see her again. Caught up in sadness, I had forgotten that death is only temporary for believers (1 Corinthians 15:21–22). I knew I’d see Jacquie again because both of us had trusted in Jesus’ death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sin (vv. 3–4). When Jesus came back to life after His crucifixion, death lost its ultimate power to separate believers from each other and from God. After we die, we’ll live again in heaven with God and all of our spiritual brothers and sisters—forever.

Because Jesus is alive today, believers in Him have hope in times of loss and sorrow. Death has been swallowed up in the victory of the cross (v. 54).—Jennifer Benson Schuldt
