[365묵상] 예수 장인이 되라 Be A Holy Expert

< 예수 장인이 되라 >

    이를 위하여 나도 내 속에서 능력으로 역사하시는 이의
    역사를 따라 힘을 다하여 수고하노라 (골로새서 1:29)

 

 요즘 교회가 세상의 희망이 되지 못하고 있다. 불신자들은 ‘믿는 자’라고 하면 ‘이기주의자’를 연상하고 ‘잘 믿는 자’라고 하면 ‘잘난 척하는 자’를 연상한다. 누구 책임인가? 기독교 리더의 책임도 크지만 내 책임도 크다. 예전에 불신자들은 신자를 ‘예수쟁이’라고 했다. 그 멸시하는 말을 반면교사로 삼아 신실하게 예수님을 잘 믿는 ‘거룩한 쟁이’가 되라.

 ‘쟁이’란 어떤 일에 전념해 그 일에 정통해진 장인을 뜻한다. 참된 ‘쟁이’가 되려면 장인 정신을 가지라. 분명한 소명 의식을 갖고 내가 하는 일에 마음과
정성과 뜻과 힘을 온전히 담아내려는 자세가 장인 정신이다. 기독교적인 개념에서 장인 정신을 가지라는 말은 자신의 일을 성직으로 여기고 최선을 다하라는 말이다. 거룩한 사람이 높은 자리에 있는 것은 사회의 큰 축복이다. 사회에 쓸모 있는 거룩한 나무가 되도록 삶의 모든 순간에서 예수 정신을 샘솟게 하는 예수 장인이 되라. 쉽지 않아도 그 길로 들어서야 영혼이 건강해지고 세상의 희망이 될 수 있다.

 요새 교회에 부족하고 부끄러운 모습이 많지만 너무 실망하지 말라. 내 힘으로 공동체를 크게 변화시키기 힘들어도 내가 힘쓰면 하나님의 도우심이 따른다. 내실이 있는 성도, 나누고 섬길 줄 아는 성도, 그리고 예수 정신이 넘치는 성도가 되라. 교회의 미래는 남이 아닌 나 자신에게 달려 있다. 내가 신실한 믿음과 하나님이 주신 은사로 사람들을 겸손하게 섬기면 교회는 세상에 희망을 주는 원래의 위치를 회복할 수 있다. 그런 소망을 가지고 기쁘게 예수 정신으로 사는 예수 장인이 되라.

 
    하나님! 소명 의식을 가지고 하나님의 일을 잘 감당함으로
    하나님의 이름을 크게 높이는 거룩한 장인이 되게 하소서.

 

 

< Be a Holy Expert >

   To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy,
   which so powerfully works in me. (Colossians 1:29)

 

 These days, the church is not becoming the hope of the world. Many unbelievers regard those who believe as egotists and those who believe well as braggarts. Who is responsible for that? The Christian leader's responsibility is great, but my responsibility is also great. In the past, unbelievers contemptuously called believers “Jesus expert” in Korea. Take the word of contempt as a lesson and be a holy expert who faithfully believes in Jesus.

 An expert is a person who has devoted himself to something and become well versed in it. To be a true expert, have an expert mindset. The expert mindset is to have a clear sense of calling and to fully put one's heart, sincerity, will, and strength into his or her work. In the Christian concept, to have a expert mindset means to regard one's work as a priesthood and do one's best. It is a great blessing for society to have a holy person in a high position. Be a holy expert who springs the spirit of Jesus in every moment of your life to be a holy tree useful to society. Even if it's not easy, you have to try to be a holy expert so that your soul can be healthy and be the hope of the world.

 There are many lacking and embarrassing aspects of church these days, but don't be too disappointed. Even if it is difficult to change the community greatly on my own, God's help follows if I try hard. Be a believer who has inner strength, who knows how to share and serve, and who is overflowing with the spirit of Jesus. The future of the church depends on me, not others. If I humbly serve people with sincere faith and God-given gifts, the church can restore its original position of giving hope to the world. Be a holy expert who happily lives in the spirit of Jesus with such a hope.

 

 God! Let me be a holy expert who greatly raises God's name
 by taking care of God's work well with a sense of calling.
