[365묵상] 하나님의 부르심대로 살라

< 하나님의 부르심대로 살라 >

    또 미리 정하신 그들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 그들을
    또한 의롭다 하시고 의롭다 하신 그들을
    또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라 (로마서 8:30)

 사도 바울은 다메섹 도상에서 예수님을 만났지만 그가 택함 받은 것은 그보다 훨씬 전이었다. 그는 길리기아 다소에서 태어나 헬라 문화권에서 히브리인 자녀로 자랐기에 히브리어와 헬라어에 능통했다. 이미 이방인을 위한 선교사로서 오래전부터 준비된 것이다. 게다가 가말리엘 문하에서 철학 공부를 하면서 기독교 신학의 뼈대를 세우는 데 탁월한 준비를 했다. 그 모든 삶의 과정이 하나님의 부르심의 일부였다.

 하나님이 부르실 때 꿈속에 나타나 “아무개야!” 하고 신기하게만 부르시는 것이 아니다. 고난을 통해 주어진 환경적인 메시지가 하나님이 부르시는 음성일 때도 많다. 꿈속에서 어떤 음성이 들리면 그저 참고만 하고 사람의 말도 그저 참고만 하라. 가끔 누가 묻는다. “그 사람과 결혼하려는데 그것이 하나님의 뜻일까요?” 그런 종류의 질문은 자제하라. 나의 삶을 책임질 타인은 없다. 최종 결정은 말씀 안에 젖고 은혜를 구하는 기도를 한 후 스스로 내리라.

 순교자는 가족에게 묻고 순교하지 않는다. 기도한 후 어떤 선택을 하고 “아멘!” 하고 끝냈으면 뒤돌아보지 말라. 매번 이렇게 할까 저렇게 할까 하고 선택 문제로 고민하면 세월만 낭비한다. 하나님의 부르심을 따라 살겠다는 마음을 예비하고 기도 중에 하나님이 주신 감동과 그때까지의 삶의 경험과 지식을 참고해서 평안 중에 어떤 길을 선택했으면 그냥 밀고 나아가라. 그 길로 가다가 어려움이 있어도 그것도 필요하기에 주어진 것으로 알고 나아가면 하나님이 멋지게 쓰실 날이 반드시 온다.

    하나님! 하나님의 뜻대로 선택한 길을 온전히 따르게 하소서.

 

< Live according to God's Calling >

   And those he predestined, he also called;
   those he called, he also justified;
   those he justified, he also glorified. (Romans 8:30)

 Apostle Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, but he was chosen long before that. He was born in Tarsus, Cilicia, and grew up as a Hebrew child in a Greek culture, so he was fluent in both Hebrew and Greek. He has already been prepared as a missionary for the Gentiles a long time ago. In addition, while studying philosophy under Gamaliel, he prepared excellently for establishing the framework of Christian theology. His whole life process was part of God's calling.

 When God calls, he is not just calling miraculously, appearing in a dream and saying, “Son, daughter, follow me!” In many cases, the environmental message given through hardship is the voice of God calling. If you hear a voice in your dream, just refer to it. And just like that, refer to what people say. Sometimes someone asks “I want to marry him. Is that God’s will?” Refrain from asking those kinds of questions. No one else is responsible for your life. Make the final decision yourself after soaking in the Word and praying for grace.

 A martyr does not commit martyrdom after asking his family. After praying, making a choice, and saying “Amen,” don't look back. If you worry about whether to do this or that every time, you will only waste your time. If you choose a path in peace during prayer, preparing your heart to live according to God's calling, referring to the impressions God gave you and the experience and knowledge of your life up to that point,  just push on. Even if there are difficulties on your way, if you push on, knowing that they are given because you need them, the day will surely come when God will use you wonderfully.

   God! Let me follow the path
   we have chosen according to God's will.
