Where Can Wisdom Be Found?		어디서 지혜를 찾을까?
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God. —James 1:5		너희 중에 누구든지 지혜가 부족하거든 하나님께 구하라 — 야고보서 1:5

Wisdom is the beauty of holiness. James says wisdom is reasonable; flexible; forgiving; peaceful; caring; given to friendly visits, small acts of courtesy, and kind words. It is humble, transparent, simple, gentle, and gracious to the core (James 3:17).		지혜는 거룩함의 아름다운 모습입니다. 야고보에 의하면 지혜로운 사람은 분별력이 있으면서 유연하고, 관대하고 온화하며, 배려심이 있어 다른 사람을 다정하게 방문하고, 조그만 일에도 공손하고 친절한 언행이 몸에 배어있습니다. 지혜로운 사람은 겸손하면서 솔직하고, 순수하고 친절하며 자비롭습니다(야고보서 3:17).
Where can wisdom be found? It comes from heaven (1:5). “Wisdom,” wrote Charles Spurgeon, “is a beauty of life that can only be produced by God’s workmanship in us.”		그러면 지혜를 어디서 찾을 수 있을까요? 그것은 하나님으로부터 옵니다(1:5). 찰스 스펄전 목사는 “지혜란 우리 안에서 오직 하나님만이 만드실 수 있는 삶의 아름다움이다.”라고 기술하였습니다.
It’s good to ask from time to time: “Am I growing in wisdom?” After all, life is relentlessly dynamic. We’re either growing sweeter and wiser as the days go by, or we’re growing into foolish or even sour-faced curmudgeons. Into what are we growing?		“나는 더 지혜로워지고 있는가?”라고 가끔씩 물어보는 것은 좋은 일입니다. 인생은 어떻든 냉혹하게도 역동적입니다. 우리는 날이 갈수록 더 착해지고 더 지혜로워지든지, 아니면 어리석게 되거나 심지어는 심술궂은 얼굴을 한 구두쇠로 되어가는 것입니다. 우리는 어떤 모습으로 자라가고 있습니까?
It’s never too late to begin growing in wisdom. God loves us with an ardent, intense affection that can deliver us from our foolishness if we yield ourselves to Him. His love can make the most difficult nature into a miracle of astonishing beauty. It may hurt a little and it may take a while, but God relentlessly seeks our transformation. When we ask, His wisdom will begin to rise in us and pour itself out to others.		지혜로 자라가기 시작하는데 너무 늦은 때는 없습니다. 우리가 우리 자신을 하나님께 드리기만 하면 하나님은 불타는 열정적인 사랑으로 우리를 우리의 어리석음으로부터 구해내십니다. 하나님의 사랑은 가장 까다로운 천성도 기적같이 놀랍고 아름다운 것으로 바꿀 수 있습니다. 조금은 아프고 시간도 걸릴지 모르겠지만 하나님은 가차 없이 우리의 변화를 추구하십니다. 우리가 하나님의 지혜를 구하면, 하나님의 지혜가 우리 안에서 자라기 시작하여 다른 이들에게까지 부어질 것입니다.
We have this promise: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to [you]” (1:5). —David Roper		우리에게는 “너희 중에 누구든지 지혜가 부족하거든 모든 사람에게 후히 주시고 꾸짖지 아니하시는 하나님께 구하라 그리하면 주시리라”(1:5)는 약속이 있습니다.
Lord, please put an end to our foolishness and  turn our hearts toward the wisdom that comes  only from You. We ask You now to take our lives  and transform them into Your likeness.		주님, 우리의 우매함을 끝내시고  우리 마음이 오직 주님으로부터만 오는 지혜에게로  향하게 해주소서. 지금 우리의 삶을 주장하셔서  주님을 닮은 삶으로 변화시켜 주소서.
True wisdom begins and ends with God.		하나님은 참된 지혜의 시작과 끝이 되신다.
