< 말씀 안에서 기도하라 >

    너희가 내 안에 거하고 내 말이 너희 안에 거하면 무엇이든지 원하는 대로 구하라 그리하면 이루리라 (요한복음 15:7)

 

 한 세일즈 왕은 판매 제안이 거절될 때마다 오히려 웃었다. 누군가가 “그렇게 거절당해도 웃음이 나와요?”라고 묻자 그가 대답했다. “제 경험에 의하면 평균 11번 거절당해야 물건이 팔려요. 한 번 거절당하면 물건 팔 때가 가까워지니 기분 좋아서 그래요.” 인생의 시련과 상처를 통해 하나님과도 더 가까워지고 축복도 더 가까워짐을 믿고 기뻐하라.

 기도 응답의 조건은 ‘예수님 안에 거하는 것’과 ‘말씀 안에 거하는 것’이다. 그 조건이 있으면 “로또 맞게 해 달라.”라고 기도해도 응답되지만 예수님을 사랑하고 말씀 안에 있다면 그런 기도 자체를 하지 않는다. 기도대로 되지 않으면 기복주의자는 “기도해도 소용없네.”라고 하며 믿음을 포기하지만 참된 성도는 “바르게 기도해야지.”라고 하며 회개거리를 찾는다.

 어떤 불신자는 큰소리친다. “믿는 사람들! 나처럼 살아 봐. 내가 너희보다 낫다.” 그 큰소리는 자녀가 고열로 며칠만 신음해도 곧 사라진다. 사람은 고통을 겪는 만큼 참된 믿음을 얻는다. 믿음 유무가 큰 차이를 낳는다. 믿음이 없으면 가능성이 많아도 작은 일로 좌절해서 실패하지만 믿음이 있으면 가능성이 적어도 시련을 딛고 일어나서 결국 성공한다.

 말씀 안에서 기도하라. 그냥 부자 되게 해 달라고만 기도하지 말고 땀을 흘린 삶을 기억해 달라고 기도하라. 기도는 공짜 심리를 유발하기보다 땀을 유발하는 것이어야 한다. 하나님은 땀을 흘리고 대가를 치르려는 마음을 가진 성도의 기도에 기쁘게 응답하신다.

   하나님! 힘든 상황에서도 기도를 포기하지 않게 하시고
   땀이 뒷받침된 기도를 통해 응답의 주체가 되게 하소서.

 

 

< Pray in the Word >

   If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. (John 15:7)

 

 One sales king rather laughs whenever a sales offer is rejected. When someone asks, "Why do you smile when you're rejected like that?" he replies. “In my experience, on average you have to be rejected 11 times before a product sells. It’s because it makes me feel good that when I get rejected once, the time to sell is near.” Rejoice, believing that through the trials and wounds of life, you will get closer to God and to blessings.

 The conditions for answering prayer are 'to abide in Jesus' and 'to abide in the Word'. If there is that condition, even if you pray, “Please help me hit the lottery,” it will be answered, but if you truly love Jesus and are in the Word, you do not pray that kind of prayer itself. If prayers are not answered as they have been prayed for, the false believer gives up his faith, saying, “It is useless to pray,” but the true believer says, “I must pray properly,” and seeks something to repent of.

 Some unbeliever exclaims. “People who believe, live like me. I am better than you.” The loud voice soon disappears even if his child groans for a few days with a high fever. One gains true faith as much as he suffers. Having faith or not makes a big difference. If you don't have faith, even if you have much possibility, you will get frustrated with small things and fail in the end, but if you have faith, even if you don't have much possibility, you will overcome the trials and succeed in the end.

 Pray in the Word. Don't just pray to be rich, pray to remember your sweaty life. Prayer should be sweat-inducing rather than free-spirited. God gladly answers the prayers of the believers who have a heart to sweat and pay the price.

   

God! Let me not give up on prayer even in difficult situations,        
and let it be answered through prayer backed by sweat.
