[The Greatest Showman] This is me

 

 

 

'The Greatest Showman'은 미국의 실존 인물 'P. T. 바넘'의 이야기 입니다. 감독엔 마이클 그레이시, 주인공 역엔 '레 미제라블' 이후 다시 뮤지컬 영화로 돌아 온 '휴잭맨'이 열연했습니다.

 

P. T. 바넘이란 인물은 '인종 주의자', '프릭쇼(Freak Show; 기형쇼)' 등으로 돈을 번 '사기꾼', '비윤리적 인물'로 평가 받는데 영화는 이를 미화 했다는 비난을 받고 있습니다.

 

영화 이야기는 다음에 하기로 하고요, 오늘은 이 영화 OST 중의 한 곡 "This is me"를 소개 합니다.

우리에게 여전히 남아 있는 Freak Show의 희열, 차별, 냉소 등을 기억하며 들으면 더욱 좋을 것 같습니다.
