Jesus Loves Me		예수 사랑하심은

On cold days, our old dog moves around the yard, finding a sunny spot to stretch out on the grass to keep herself in the warmth of the sun.		늙은 우리 집 개는 추운 날에는 따뜻한 햇볕을 쬐며 풀밭에 엎드려있기 위해 해가 잘 드는 지점을 찾아 마당 여기저기를 옮겨 다닙니다.
This reminds me that we must “keep” ourselves in the love of God (Jude 1:21). That doesn’t mean we have to act in some special way to make God love us (although our desire is to please Him). Because we are His children we’re loved no matter what we do or fail to do. It means instead that we should think about His love and bask in its radiance and warmth all day long.		그 광경은 우리도 반드시 하나님의 사랑 안에서 우리자신을 “지켜야 한다”(유다서 1:21)는 것을 상기시켜 줍니다. 이는 하나님이 우리를 사랑하도록 만들기 위해 우리가 무슨 특별한 행동을 해야 한다는 뜻이 아닙니다(물론 우리는 하나님을 기쁘시게 하기를 소원하지만). 우리는 하나님의 자녀이기 때문에 우리가 무슨 행동을 하든지 못하든지 상관없이 하나님의 사랑을 받습니다. 다만 하루 종일 하나님의 사랑을 생각하면서 그 빛과 온기를 마음껏 누려야 한다는 의미입니다.
“[Nothing] shall be able to separate us from the love of God” (Rom. 8:39). He loved us before we were born, and He loves us now. This is our identity in Christ; it is who we are—God’s beloved children. That’s something to think about throughout the day.		우리는 우리를 창조하시고 모든 이들에게 “생명과 호흡과 만물을”(25절) 주시는 우리의 창조주를 경외하는 마음을 가지고 있습니다. 하나님이 보실 때에 우리 모두 동등하기에, 우리는 함께 하나님을 찬양하며 함께 영광을 돌리는 것입니다.
Five times in John’s gospel he described himself as the disciple Jesus loved (13:23; 19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). Jesus loved His other disciples too, but John reveled in the fact that Jesus loved him! We can adopt John’s theme—“I am the disciple Jesus loves!”—and repeat it to ourselves all day long. Or we can sing that familiar children’s song in our hearts, “Jesus loves me, this I know.” As we carry that truth with us throughout the day, we’ll bask in the warmth of His love! —David Roper		요한복음에서 요한은 다섯 번이나 자신을 예수님께서 사랑하시는 제자라고 묘사합니다(13:23; 19:26; 0:2; 21:7,20). 예수님은 다른 제자들도 사랑하셨지만, 요한은 예수님이 그를 사랑하셨다는 사실을 매우 즐겼습니다! “나는 예수님이 사랑하시는 제자”라고 한 요한처럼 우리도 우리 자신에게 하루 종일 같은 말을 되풀이할 수 있습니다. 혹은 우리 모두가 잘 기억하고 있는 어린이 찬송가 “예수 사랑하심은 거룩하신 말일세”를 부를 수도 있습니다. 하루 종일 그 진리를 기억하며 지낼 때, 우리는 하나님의 사랑의 온기를 마음껏 누리게 될 것입니다.

God loves us not because of who we are, but because of who He is.		하나님은 우리가 어떤 사람이기 때문이 아니라  그분이 하나님이시기 때문에 우리를 사랑하신다.
