Several countries around the world celebrate Tulip Day to welcome the spring. When I think of tulips, I often think of the Netherlands, but commercial cultivation of the flower began in the Middle East. Today these colorful flowers span the globe. An estimated 109 species of tulips now grace parks, thoroughfares, and home gardens all around the world.		세계 몇몇 나라가 봄을 맞이하며 튤립절을 기념합니다. 튤립을 생각하면 나는 흔히 네덜란드를 떠올리지만, 튤립의 상업적인 재배는 중동에서 시작되었습니다. 오늘날 이 각양각색의 꽃들은 온 세계에 퍼져있어서, 약 109 종의 튤립이 온 세계의 공원, 주요 도로, 그리고 가정의 정원을 아름답게 꾸미고 있습니다.
Last fall I planted some tulip bulbs. Several months later, they bloomed with vivid colors, announcing the coming of spring. They reminded me that summer was on the way and with it will come even more flowers to delight the eye.		지난 가을 나는 튤립 구근 몇 개를 심었습니다. 몇 달 후 그것들은 봄이 오는 것을 알리면서 선명한 색깔들로 피어났습니다. 그 꽃들은 내게 여름이 오고 있으며, 여름과 함께 눈이 즐겁도록 더 많은 꽃이 피어날 것이라는 생각이 나게 해주었습니다.
Flowers are wonderful reminders to me of the grace of God in our lives. Our Lord used lilies of the field to remind us of the provision of our heavenly Father. In His great Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “Consider the lilies of the field . . . ; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. . . . Will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” (Matt. 6:28-30).		꽃들은 우리의 삶 속에서 하나님의 은혜를 아주 멋지게 상기시켜줍니다. 우리 주님은 들에 핀 백합화를 사용하여 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지께서 우리에게 공급해주신다는 것을 깨닫게 해주셨습니다. 위대한 산상수훈에서 예수님은 “들의 백합화가 어떻게 자라는가 생각하여 보라...... 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이 꽃 하나만 같지 못하였느니라......하물며 너희일까 보냐 믿음이 적은 자들아”(마태복음 6:28-30)라고 말씀하셨습니다.
Tulips alert us to the end of winter and the beginning of spring. But like the lilies of the field, they can also remind us of the One upon whom we can depend to provide food, clothing, and shelter. —Dennis Fisher		튤립은 우리에게 겨울이 끝나고 봄이 시작되는 것을 알려줍니다. 그러나 들에 핀 백합화처럼, 튤립 역시 우리에게 의식주를 공급하시는 하나님을 생각나게 해줍니다.
In trees and flowers of the field,  In creatures large and small,  We trace the watchful care of Him  Who planned and made them all. —King		들에 있는 꽃과 나무에서  크고 작은 생명체에서  우리는 그것들을 계획하시고 만드신  하나님의 세심한 보살핌을 찾아낼 수 있다
If Jesus is concerned about flowers and birds, He certainly cares about you and me.		예수님이 꽃과 새들에 관심을 갖고 계시다면,  틀림없이 당신과 나도 돌보고 계신다.
