[365묵상] 말씀을 절대 가치로 삼으라 Take the word as the absolute

< 말씀을 절대 가치로 삼으라 >

     복 있는 사람은... 오직 여호와의 율법을 즐거워하여
     그의 율법을 주야로 묵상하는도다 (시편 1:1-2)

 

 

 복 있는 사람은 나쁜 일을 하지 말아야 하지만 더 중요한 것은 좋은 일을 하는 것이다. 무엇을 제일 잘해야 하는가? 오직 여호와의 율법을 즐거워하여 그의 율법을 주야로 묵상하는 것이다. ‘오직’이란 말에 주목한다면 복 있는 사람이 되려면 말씀을 복 받기 위한 절대 가치로 삼고 말씀대로 사는 것을 복 받기 위한 절대 원리로 삼아야 한다는 암시다.

 복 있는 사람이 되려면 월드(the world, 세상)보다 워드(the Word, 말씀)를 더 사랑하라. 어떤 사람은 말씀에서 ‘속박’을 느끼지만 어떤 사람은 말씀에서 ‘자유’를 느낀다. 기차는 철로 위에 있을 때 자유가 있고 비행기는 항로를 따를 때 안전하듯이 사람은 말씀대로 살 때 가장 안전해지고 더 나아가 행복해진다. 하나님은 사람의 행복을 위해 말씀을 주셨다. 말씀대로 살면 불편한 것 같아도 사실상 그것이 참된 자유와 행복의 길이다.

 마태복음 7장에서는 말씀을 듣고 행하는 인생은 비바람에도 무너지지 않는다고 했다. 말씀대로 살면 가정과 교회도 무너지지 않는다. 누가복음 5장에는 베드로가 말씀에 순종해서 많은 고기를 잡는 장면이 나온다. 말씀 속에 사업 성공과 풍성한 삶을 누리는 길도 있다. 언뜻 보면 자본이 있는 사람이 승리할 것 같지만 최종 승리는 말씀이 있는 사람의 것이다. 말씀은 행복을 위해 하나님이 주신 가장 위대한 선물이다. 말씀을 대할 때마다 어떤 선물보다 소중한 선물을 얻은 것처럼 즐거워하면서 성경 보는 시간과 말씀 듣는 시간을 사모하면 진정 복된 길이 펼쳐진다.

 

 
    하나님! 말씀 안에서 참된 영혼의 자유를 얻게 하시고
    말씀대로 행함으로 최상의 행복도 얻어 누리게 하소서.

 

 

< Take the Word as the Absolute >

   Blessed is the man... But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
   and on his law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)

 

 

 A blessed person should not do bad things, but more importantly, do good things. What should we do best? It is only to delight in the law of the Lord, and meditate on His law day and night. If you pay attention to the word "only", it implies that if you want to be a blessed person, you must take the Word as the absolute value to be blessed and living according to the Word as the absolute principle to be blessed.

 To be a blessed person, love the Word more than the world. Some people feel bondage in the Word, while others feel freedom in the Word. Just as a train has freedom when it is on the railroad and an airplane is safe when it follows the route, people are safest and happier when they live according to the Word. God gave the Word for man's happiness. Living according to the Word may seem uncomfortable, but in fact that is the way to true freedom and happiness.

 In Matthew 7, it is said that a life that listens to and acts on the Word will not collapse even in rain and wind. If you live according to the Word, your family and church will not collapse. In Luke 5, there is a scene where Peter catches a lot of fish by obeying the Word of Jesus. There is also a way to enjoy business success and an abundant life in the Word. At first glance, it seems that those who have capital will win, but the final victory belongs to those who have the Word. The Word is God's greatest gift for happiness. Whenever you encounter the Word, if you long for the time to read the Bible and listen to the Word, rejoicing as if you have received a gift more precious than any other gift, a truly blessed path will unfold.

 God! Let me have true freedom of the soul in the Word,
 and enjoy the greatest happiness by acting according to the Word.
