[365묵상] 기다림은 낭비가 아니다

< 기다림은 낭비가 아니다 >

 

 

내가 여호와를 기다리고 기다렸더니 귀를 기울이사 나의 부르짖음을 들으셨도다 (시편 40:1)

 

 

 

 운동 경기에는 하프 타임이 있다. 쉬면서 목표를 뚜렷이 하고 전략을 짜는 시간이다. 하프 타임은 경기 시간만큼 중요하다. 대개 후반전에 승부가 갈리기에 후반전이 중요하다. 인생이 게임과 같다면 하프 타임은 안식하고 재충전하면서 꿈과 비전을 새롭게 하는 시간이다. 그때를 잘 활용해서 인생 후반전에 나서면 성공 가능성이 커진다.

 인생은 연극과 같다. 1막에서 연극이 한참 고조될 때 다시 커튼이 내려진다. 그 시간은 2막을 준비하는 시간이다. 중간 사역기는 실패와 성공의 중간에 있다. 그 기간은 첫째 사업에서 실패하고 둘째 사업을 시작하기 전 기간이고 첫째 직장에서 나와 둘째 직장으로 들어가기 전 기간이다. 또한 과거의 파산과 미래의 번성 사이의 훈련 기간이다. 위대한 믿음의 선진들에게는 다 그 기간이 있었다. 모세에게는 40년의 미디안 광야 기간이 있었고 사도 바울에게는 3년의 아라비아 광야 기간이 있었다.

 중간 사역기를 잘 극복하려면 중간 사역기에 대한 개념을 잘 인식하라. 중간 사역기는 ‘선택한 것’이 아니라 ‘부과된 것’이다. 모세는 스스로 광야 학교로 간 것이 아니라 성급한 행동으로 광야 학교로 도망친 것이다. ‘미워하는 것’을 참아야 하는데 ‘참는 것’을 미워한 것이 문제였다. 그가 40년 동안 미디안 광야에서 참고 기다리는 법을 배웠다. 기다리는 시간은 낭비되는 시간이 아니다(Waiting time is not wasted time). 믿음으로 기다리면 하나님은 그 시간에도 최상의 이면 작업을 펼쳐 나가신다.

   

하나님! 인생의 중간 사역기를 맞이해서 놀라지 말고
    그때 잘 준비하며 기다림으로 복을 예비하게 하소서

 

< Waiting is not a Waste >

 

   I waited patiently for the LORD;
   he turned to me and heard my cry. (Psalm 40:1)

 

 There is a halftime in some sports. It is a time to rest, clarify goals and plan strategies. Halftime is just as important as game time. The second half is important because the game is usually decided in the second half. If life is like a game, halftime is a time to renew your dreams and visions while resting and recharging. If you make good use of that time and play in the second half of your life, your chances of success increase.

 Life is like a play. In the first act, when the play is at its height, the curtain falls. The next time is the time to prepare for the second act. The intermission is between failure and success. The period is the period before starting the second business after failing in the first business, and the period before entering the second job after leaving the first job. It is also a training period between the bankruptcy of the past and the prosperity of the future. All the great ancestors of faith had that period. Moses had a 40-year training period in the Midian wilderness, and Apostle Paul had a 3-year training period in the Arabian wilderness.

 If you want to get through the intermission well, be aware of the concept of intermission. The intermission is not chosen, but imposed. Moses did not choose to go to the wilderness school by himself, but fled to the wilderness school in a hasty action. His problem was that he had to put up with ‘hating’, but he hated ‘putting up with’. He learned to endure and wait in the Midian wilderness for 40 years. Waiting time is not wasted time. If you wait with faith, God unfolds the best behind-the-scenes work in that waiting time.

   

God! Let me not be shaken in the intermission of our life,
   but prepare well during that period and be blessed by waiting
