Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Missy Sullivan noted that many user agreements, warranties, and disclaimers that come with products are nearly unreadable. Intentionally set in very small type, they actually discourage people from understanding them. Because of this, many people don’t read all the terms of contracts before signing them. A university professor of graphic communication pointed to a 32-page user agreement that came with his new smartphone, and said of the company, “They don’t want you to read it.”		미시 설리반은 월스트리트저널에 기고한 글에서, 상품에 동봉된 사용자동의서나 보증서, 공지사항 등이 거의 읽기 어려울 정도로 인쇄되어 있음을 지적했습니다. 일부러 매우 작은 글자로 씌어 있어서, 사람들은 그것들을 읽고 이해하기가 힘이 듭니다. 이 때문에 많은 사람들은 계약서에 서명하기 전에 거기에 나와 있는 모든 계약조건들을 제대로 읽지 않습니다. 시각정보 계통의 한 교수는 지적하기를, 그의 새 스마트폰에 동봉된 32쪽의 사용자동의서는 마치 그 회사가 “우리는 여러분이 이것을 읽기를 원치 않습니다.”라고 말하는 것과 같다고 했습니다.
In contrast, the Lord is always seeking to communicate with His people in clear and compelling ways, with no attempt to confuse or deceive. When Moses spoke to the Israelites just before they entered the Promised Land, he said, “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. . . . I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” (Deut. 30:11,19).		이와 정반대로, 하나님은 그의 백성들을 혼동시키거나 속이지 않고 항상 명확하여 따를 수밖에 없는 방식으로 소통하려 하십니다. 모세는 약속의 땅으로 들어가기 직전 이스라엘백성들에게 “내가 오늘날 네게 명한 이 명령은 네게 어려운 것도 아니요 먼 것도 아니라...... 내가 생명과 사망과 복과 저주를 네 앞에 두었은즉 너와 네 자손이 살기 위하여 생명을 택하라”(신명기 30:11,19)고 말했습니다.
The Lord wants us to understand His plan and purpose clearly, so that we may love, obey, and cling to Him—for He is our “life and the length of [our] days” (v.20). That’s plain to see. —David McCasland		하나님은 우리로 하여금 하나님의 계획과 목적을 명확히 이해하게 함으로써, “네 생명이시요 네 장수”(20절)가 되시는 하나님을 사랑하고 순종하며 하나님께 붙어있기를 원하십니다. 많은 설명이 필요 없습니다.
Father, we want to learn and experience more  of who You are in our relationship with You.  Teach us so that we will grow in our  understanding of You and Your plan for our lives.		하나님아버지, 우리는 하나님과의 관계 속에서  하나님이 누구신지를 더 알며 더 경험하기를 원합니다. 우리를 가르치셔서 하나님과, 우리를 향한 하나님의 계획을 점점 더 잘 이해할 수 있게 해주소서.
There is no fine print  in God’s communication with us.		우리가 하나님과 소통하는 데에는 읽기 어려운 부분이 없다.
