Recently I walked into a hotel lobby that featured the largest arrangement of fresh flowers I have ever seen. It was bursting with color, perfectly arranged, and its fragrance was amazing. It stopped me in my tracks, and I lingered for a moment to admire its beauty. It made me think that there is something about abundance that captures our hearts. Think of the inviting beauty of a bowl overflowing with colorful fruit, or a countertop covered with three or four pies ready for enjoyment after a bountiful Thanksgiving meal.		최근에 나는 어느 호텔 로비에서 여태껏 내가 본 것 중 가장 큰 생화 꽃꽂이가 있는 것을 보았습니다. 완벽하게 배열된 그 꽃들은 화려한 색깔을 뽐내며 놀라운 향기를 뿜어내고 있었습니다. 나는 걸음을 멈추고 한동안 서서 그 아름다움에 감탄하였습니다. 그것은 나에게 우리의 마음을 사로잡는 풍성함에는 무엇인가가 있다는 생각이 들게 했습니다. 다양한 색깔의 과일을 수북이 담은 그릇의 매혹적인 아름다움이나, 풍성한 추수감사절 식사 후 디저트로 즐길 파이가 담긴 서너 개의 접시가 놓여있는 주방 조리대를 생각해보십시오.
The joy of abundance reminds me of the generosity of God. He makes our cup overflow (Ps. 23:5); He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph. 3:20); His grace is sufficient for any difficulty that life brings our way (2 Cor. 12:9); and it is He who kills the fatted calf and calls for the best robe when the prodigal returns (see Luke 15:20-24).		풍성함이 주는 기쁨은 하나님의 관대하심을 생각나게 해줍니다. 하나님은 우리의 잔이 넘치게 하시고(시편 23:5), “우리의 온갖 구하는 것이나 생각하는 것에 더 넘치도록 능히 하실”(에베소서 3:20) 수 있습니다. 인생에서 만나는 어떤 어려움에도 주님의 은혜가 충분히 임하며(고린도후서 12:9), 탕자가 돌아왔을 때 살찐 송아지를 잡고 제일 좋은 옷을 가져오라고 하신 분도 바로 하나님이십니다(누가복음 15:20-24 참조).
No wonder the psalmist rejoices: “How precious is your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house” (Ps. 36:7-8). Our God is abundantly good. Let’s overflow with praise for His many blessings. —Joe Stowell		그러므로 시편기자가 이렇게 기뻐하는 것도 당연합니다. “하나님이여, 주의 인자하심이 어찌 그리 보배로우신지요 인생이 주의 날개 그늘 아래 피하나이다 저희가 주의 집의 살찐 것으로 풍족할 것이라”(시편 36:7-8). 우리 하나님은 풍성하도록 선하신 분입니다. 하나님이 주시는 많은 축복을 생각하고 찬양이 넘쳐흐르게 하십시오.
Lord, thank You for the reminder that far from being stingy You bless us with good things in abundance. Thank You for Your presence and the comfort of the promises in Your Word.		주님, 주님은 조금도 인색함이 없이 우리에게 좋은 것으로 풍성하게 축복해주신다는 것을  일깨워주시니 감사합니다. 주님의 임재와 말씀 안에 있는 언약의 위로에 감사를 드립니다.
Keep praising God from whom all blessings flow.		모든 축복을 내리시는 하나님을 항상 찬양하라.
